The third reason is that Dr. King worked very hard to change the United States’ laws that Discriminated against black people Dr.

In 1963 Dr. King was chosen man of the year by time magazine. At the age of 35 Dr. King won the noble peace prize. It was a great honor and Dr. King was the youngest winner of this prize.
Dr. King is most well known for being a civil rights leader in the United States. At the time that he was born, blacks and whites were kept apart. At that time African Americans were separated from white people. Because their skin color were black. When Martin was a child, there was a grocery store near his house. There were two little white boys in the grocery store and these boys were playing together with Martin. One day little Martin couldn’t see them on the Baseball field and he went to find them at their house. Unfortunately, Martin met their mother, and she said, to little Martin, You can never ever play with them again because my sons are white and you are black.”
That time black children had separated school, and play ground from white children. The police often beat, kicked and arrested black people. In this situation, Dr. King decided fight against the United States’ laws that Discriminated against black people. He always said” We must meet violence with nonviolence” at his speeches. He had a very strong powerful voiced. Dr. King led a boycott for almost a year After Rosa Parks was arrested, because she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery bus. Boycott mean Dr. King would ask People not to ride on a bus instead, walk to walk. Mean while Dr. King’s home was bombed, fortunately,
no one hurt his family. A year later, black people got to start riding on the bus with white people together that because City buses had to stopped services a few months after the boycott. The police arrested Dr. King more than 30 times and they were abusing King twisting his arm and had been beaten and chocked behind his back as they arrested him. But he had never given up on his dream about equal human rights for everyone until his death.
One interesting fact is that I learned about Dr. King was that he led March on Washington DC to more than two hundred thousand and five hundred (200,500) Black and White people joined together. This was one surprising and interesting fact that is I learned about Dr. King.
By 1965 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had changed many rules that discriminated against black people in the United States. While he was planning another big march for equal pay and equal rights for poor people in Washington, a few days before the march, a man named James Earl Ray pointed a rifle at Dr. King and killed him. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior died when he was just 39 years old. This great man was carrying so many dreams the moment he was shot on a balcony of a motel. Thousand of people felt personally wounded when they heard of his death. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Civil right leader born in 1929, died in 1968.
During the final year and a half of his life a day before his death he said,
I just want to do god’s will, and he allowed me to go up to the mountain, and I looked over I ‘ve seen the promised land… and I am happy tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I do not fear any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the load”. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the contend of characters.
He worked so hard to change his country’s laws. On the third Monday of every January, the United States celebrates the anniversary of his birthday.
